I am working on moving this blog to a new hosting service and a new URL (but in such a way that old links continue to work, I hope).
Meanwhile I apologise for any disruption to service on this blog. At times I may have to disable comments, and unexpected or temporary URLs may appear in your browser bar.
The work may take a day or so more, not because I am drinking coffee like the workman in my sign above, but because I am waiting for some technical assistance from my new hosting provider.
Hopefully the work is now complete – see this post.
There are some layout problems in the I’m a widget.
When I click on http://gentlewisdom.org.uk/ from the WordPress dashboard I get:
Unable to determine IP address from host name for gentlewisdom.org.uk
I think this means you have to set up your domain name with and without www.
David, congratulations on becoming a widget! 😉
Seriously, thanks for warning me of the layout problems. I will try to fix them.
Where did you find a link to http://gentlewisdom.org.uk/? That is not the address of this blog. The reason is that my hosting package’s DNS doesn’t support null A records, which are needed for this to work as a valid address without “www.”. I can’t complain for the price I paid. Or does anyone know of a way round this problem?
