Peter, check your permalink settings.
PS – if your server allows it (Yahoo does not) switch your permalinks to month and name which enables search engines to really pick up your posts.
Joel, thanks for the tip, but I don’t think that is the problem. I actually prefer short permalinks to “pretty” ones, and I’m not too interested in boosting my rankings by fooling search engines.
The last time you won a Lingy you whined because it was one of my lousy drawings! Sorry about that long link. I had so many people I wanted to mention that I did it by adding them all to Google Reader and then copying the feed…
Uh, Peter, it’s not fooling search engines, but no matter. The point was that in order to remove the ‘archives’ thing, was to check your permalinks under your Setting Tab on the WordPress dashboard.
